Privacy Policy

OpenRight for Mac · Effective October 22, 2026

The short version: OpenRight does not collect any of your data. There is no account, no server, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. We never see the links you click.

The links you click

OpenRight decides on your Mac where each link should open, then hands it to that app or to your browser. Links are never stored, logged or sent to us.

Song lookups (optional)

If you choose a preferred streaming music app, OpenRight looks up the song when you click a song link from another service, so it can open it in your preferred app:

OpenRight never contacts TIDAL: when TIDAL is your preferred app, it only opens the search in the TIDAL app on your Mac.

Only that one song is looked up, at the moment you click. Nothing else about you is sent, and nothing is kept. These requests go directly to Apple and Spotify and are covered by their privacy policies. With no preferred streaming music app set, OpenRight makes no network requests at all.

Your settings

Your browser choice, service switches, custom rules and music preference are stored only on your Mac.

Children

OpenRight does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
